Witnessing a middle-aged man handwrite letters for almost a minute is right up there in the fun parade with slow Wi-Fi connections and reading privacy policy agreements. That’s what I thought. That is until creatives at DDB came to me with a fun campaign for Strongbow cider which revolved around handwriting letters to their biggest fans. DDB needed a video to lead the campaign and I was honored to be tapped to direct the spot. Together with the creatives, we worked to inject quirkiness and humor into subject matter that doesn’t typically scream viral video. With less than 10 days to produce, shoot and wrap the piece I’m really proud of what we were all able to accomplish.
