Scissors Card

The main purpose of this card is show a little bit of my papercrafts skills, since I am a paper engineer. But the greatest challenge was making something movable with the dimensions of an ordinary business card (5cm x 9cm). The mechanism’s pivots are made of a thick nylon thread, that create a tiny ball when heated with a lighter. That is the secret of these mechanisms! The card’s parts were designed in Adobe Illustrator software and cut by a portable plotter. And the inner part was printed on a fast print shop, and the assembly was completely handmade.
