A swim school based in the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney, In The Deep empowers kids to flourish in the water, by teaching them how to swim. The brand is passionate about helping kids feel at ease and filled with a joy — the kind that makes parents wish they were still a kid! I was commissioned to create new characters that aligned with the brand system I had previously created, that also captured the experience children go through in each of the levels of their swimming journey. From trepidation to flourishing, from overly confident and wobbly, to graceful and strong. The characters feature on colourful ribbons presented to the kids when they've achieved a skill, and are collected as cut-out stickers when they move up a level, too.
