Adelaide Women's & Children's Hospital Murals

This feel-good large-scale mural installation project was all about creating a light, calm environment for patients. I was commissioned to help reduce their anxiety as they await their operations in the newly refurbished operating theatres of Adelaide’s Women’s and Children’s Hospital. Keeping that idea in mind I illustrated some playful and soothing inky illustrations that formed repeating patterns for three differing garden themes that would speak to women and children of all ages; ocean, outdoor and floral. Working in collaboration with Adelaide-based design studio, Prana Studios, these murals are currently being installed in the women’s and children’s operating theatre induction rooms in five differing colour ways, from walls, to windows, to even a ceiling!
