Departures.com Website Design
We were approached by American Express and the Departures team of agencies to help transform this legacy publication into a digital first experience. Our clients were looking to truly refresh the 37 year old magazine without alienating their loyal readers, while capturing a new audience. Some key goals were to create a UX that allowed for maximum scalability of content and business needs, translate Giant Spoon’s rebrand for the digital space and create a visual system for advertising and partnerships that felt part of the reading experience as opposed to an interruption.
My role on this project as creative director was to facilitate collaboration between our clients and partners, be hands-on leader of a talented-team of designers & writers in creating both UX and UI executions.
