McDonald's were a long-time sponsor of The FIFA World Cup yet had never launched a global campaign to celebrate it. With no global media buy, it came down to 191 local markets adopting our idea. Typically sponsors throw money to showcase megastar soccer players, instead we celebrated the football passion of everyday folks with 'brains in their feet'.
