The Marketing Department is responsible for crafting the PAX brand experience, telling the brand story and elevating the quality of marketing, communications, and product experiences.

We’re looking for an Art Director to help us build and support design solutions for how our brand is expressed visually and experientially across Product, Web, Marketing, and Communications. This role requires passion for the user experience and an ability to deliver outstanding, creative solutions for all moments of the consumer journey.


Champion brand aesthetics and serve as a content creating lead. Spearhead designing for the holistic PAX brand experience; lead creative and holistic thinking across diverse product releases; contribute to creative concepting by driving new visual ideas
Lead cross functional teams in conception, design, and execution of all visual projects
Concept, design, and evolve PAX’s visual identity as we scale while keeping the system fresh, interesting, and inspiring

Translate creative direction into polished creative assets for web, POS, and all other owned channels, while collaborating with Brand Director to define the brand experience across all touchpoints

Consult, provide resources, guidelines and templates that empower colleagues to create moving and thoughtful brand expressions

Be a source of inspiration and partnership for Brand Director; collaborate with agency and freelance designers, producers, copywriters, marketers, and others to shepard the brand forward, mentoring other designers in the process

Create reactions & creative assets that speak to pop culture moments of the day; be prepared to deliver at least 3-5x relevant assets monthly that speak to topical moments / cannabis culture

Experience: A portfolio showcasing at least 6 years of designing for a wide range of projects, including brand systems (defining brand guidelines) and branded executions (web, print, product, packaging, social media)

Experience launching or managing a product (CPG, tech or otherwise); Product Marketing experience a plus

Passion for quality; you have pixel perfect attention to detail, explore and push for better solutions for both internal processes and external brand experience

Ownership; you’re able to own a sizeable part of a project without much oversight, and you’re comfortable with ambiguity and changes in direction

A highly collaborative working style; you’ll be working with all parts of the organization to empower and encourage the accurate use of the brand; you are receptive to feedback and direction

Effective communication skills; you clearly articulate your design decisions and you’re comfortable presenting work to cross-functional teams & executives

Organization skills; you can effectively manage your time and prioritize your work
