We’re looking for a copywriter who colors outside the lines and is rewarded for their bravery. Playing it safe won’t move the needle. It doesn’t always need to be successful or even work, but we love people who try things that have never been done before. That’s what gets us excited.
We need someone to develop and produce high-level, talked-about, industry-admired concepts. Someone who comes to the table with original ideas and is ready to present work to clients live or via Zoom. Someone who is a self-starter and doesn’t need direct supervision to motivate them to succeed. Someone like you.

Here are the things we’re looking for:

You’re an artisan.
You love your craft. You wander the world always seeking out the unique. You’re curious about everything but ready to question it and then make sense of it for others.

You’re a keyboard player.
Not like the Rick Wakeman kind, but maybe the Stephen King kind. We often liken ourselves to a band: A small group of people creating new material with everyone doing their part – and sometimes switching parts for fun. It may work and it may not, but that’s what bands do. Sometimes together and sometimes flying solo. But it takes all of us working together to make a number-one hit, and you’re mashing those keys like your life depended on it.

You’re a grown-up.
Sure, you have years under your belt and maybe some fancy awards on your reel. But more than that, you not only want the brands you work on to be groundbreaking but their business to thrive while helping them create a positive change in the world.

Here are the things we think you need:
5–10 years experience.
A track record of unique thinking across all kinds of media.

Responsibilities (duties and functions)
Develops concepts and presentation approaches.
Develops strategy and direction and provides copywriting expertise.
Generates effective dramatizations of selling ideas and generates imaginative presentations for whatever you’re working on.
Collaborates with art directors, designers, senior account personnel, and clients.
Delivers creative that is on time, on target, and on budget.
Directs your part on any production you’re involved with. On things like radio, you’re often on your own, but you like that because you’re a badass.
Helps selects directors and other resources with your partners, works closely with them or directs them to ensure the original concept approved by the client is carried out.
Monitors and follows through on all assigned phases of production.
Participates in creation of strategy when needed.
Delivers presentations to team and/or senior creative personnel.
Can write in different brand voices.
Remains current on industry trends and technology.

This is a full-time position with benefits, reporting to the Associate Creative Director and Creative Director, and it is located in Raleigh, N.C. Moving and/or relocation expenses are negotiable. Work from home and work from work schedule will be flexible but residing in the Raleigh-Durham area is required.
